Olivia's Birth.

Thursday, November 4th/5th 2009; I had slept over at my Ex-boyfriend/ their fathers house. I just couldn't sleep worth a darn! My back killed sooo bad, I couldn't comfortable, I didn't know if it was because I was over there and hated being there, or if I was because I was in labor. So 5 O' Clock that morning, I woke him up to start a bath for me, so I could see if that would ease the back pain a little! I also took some Tylenol. While the bath was filling up, he and I, decided to have some fun. LOL so as I undressed and I got into the bath, I noticed bright red blood. I was suuuper scared, cause they always say 'absolutely no bright red blood during pregnancy' so, first thought is, text my mom and see what she says. Of course, my precious mother has ensomia, so was awake and texted me right back. Her response was: if its labor, It won't stop. and to come home so she can keep an eye on it. So, we packed up (after my bath of course) and we went to Tooele to my mom's. we got there, talked to my mom for a while, I helped her clean, then we made some breakfast. I didn't stop contracting. Then around 12ish, I was just exhausted. So, Joey and I decided we'd go take a nap.  The next thing I know is, my mom is waking my up, saying "If you're in labor it won't stop. I doubt you even are (from all my preterm labors) Jessi and I are going walking at the track, come with us" so I crawled out of bed, got Joey up, we got ready, and off to the track we went! we walked a mile. at a pretty fast pase as well! the fourth lap, It was the weirdest feeling, but I felt my baby slide down! and a really strong contraction came, I grabbed onto my sister in law and mom and almost fell! we decided to finish the lap, then leave. This whole time my mom is just in disbelief that i'm even in labor. I honestly, didn't think I was in active labor either! it was just the same thing I had experienced for the last three months! So we get in the car and my mom asked how i'm feeling and at that poing contractions are coming every 10-15 minutes. so, we decide we will for a little drive. we are gone for like 45 minutes, then go home. we get to my house and my mom asks what I wanna do, if I wanna go in, or what.  I say,"my contractions are getting stronger and closer, so yeah but lets just go to Tooele" So everyone runs inside the house to get some drinks and use the rest room.. 30 minutes later we are leaving. at that time, I'm contracting every 3 minutes. we are stop at the light right before the hospital and I get a realllly strong one, some fluid comes out so, i'm laughing thinking, I kinda peed myself! We get there, I check in, and this nurse comes running with a wheel-chair. and I said i didn't need to be wheeled back, but they said its a rule, so i did. lol I even remember the lady commenting on my blue jell toenails. Hah, we get back, the nurse comes in, tells me to put on the rob and belly-band, no undies on. I come back, lay on the bed and she waiting to check how dilated I am..
the anticapation was killing everyone! She looks at me with huuuuge eyes and says "oh wow, oh gosh, you're a good 7" then i look at my mom, Boyfriend and then look back at her and say "So, am I staying.... am I having my baby" She nodded and said, "i'll be right back, and bring your IV" I just started bawling! my mom was like, let me call everyone and all I said was "you need to go get our bags, I'm sooo scared mom" I really didn't want her to leave, but she had too. so she did and called our whole family. everyone was sooo excited. this was the first baby in 11 years! even my aunt from Wendover came out. she was in the room with me, when I had my angel.  Everyone just came in at different times, the hospital was amazing and let 20+ people in the room with me while waiting! about an hour after getting there, we tried getting the epidural, but it was a sucess, and I was realllly starting to hurt.. So, they had everyone leave the room. I looked at my mom with tears in my eyes and said, I need to push. Thank goodnes, my aunt got there. because the nurse came in and checked me and said you're complete, let me call the doc. So, mean while I'm having to push...well, I was in soooo much pain cause the epidural didn't work, the anaesthelogist came in and put the medicine in threw my IV, so I literally went numb from my chest down! I couldn't feel when to push. I did the best I could, then my daughter was crowning, and I Couldn't feel a thing and I said, can I stop for a second, cause I was tired, and he looked at me, Cut my vaginal area open and took her out with the clamps! I felt sooo cheated. But, that 15 minutes of pushing felt like an hour!- My beautiful 6 lbs 13 ounce, 21 inches daughter was born at 10:09 pm November 5, 2009! One of the two best days of my life! I was sooo in love with my daughter. but, because she was only 35 weeks, she had to be taken right away. I only got to see her for literally 4 minutes. I delivered the after-birth and got stitched up. had almost a size 3 epistomy. OUCH! I asked the nurse, when would my daughter be brought to the room? and she loooked at me and said, she is in the NICU and wouldn't be able to leave so as soon as I felt like I could walk, I could go see her.. I asked for a drink and about 45 minutes after having her, I forced myself up and walked to my baby girl. she was absolutely perfect! The perfect baby I always dreamed about her looking like, she totally was! I fell soo in love with her. I started talking to her and she grabbed my finger. ahhh, she had my heart that very second! It was sooo hard because she had to be hook up to an IV and Oxygen. I even have one of her newborn night gowns, that has the arm cut off so i could put it on her, with her IV in. My baby did amazing. Even being premature, she was on the IV for a day after she was born so-24 hours, and oxygen about 12 hours. we got to leave the hospital the same time every other baby and momma did! I was sooo proud of my strong daughter! We have been best friends since that very day, and everyone has loved her, she's been our angel. after I had Olivia I retained the placenta and got extremely sick. after seeing the doctor that delivered her, and him saying I just had a bacterial infection, i decided going to my originial OB/GYN and getting a second opinion because the antiobiotics he gave me, made me throw up and just wasn't getting better! I went to my doctor, sure enough, I retained it! I had a D&C a month and 3 days after I had Olivia. it was sure hard, but I bounced right back! Thank god for our amazing doctors because they totally saved mine and my daughters life! i'm forever thankful for that!
